FOBISSEA + BOTC

Happy Valentines Day people! (: I haven’t updated my blog in awhile. Well, now I rarely update my blog don’t I?

I shall tell you what I have been up to lately. From the 11th to 13th of February, I attended the FOBBISEA Chamber Music Festival at Alice Smith School. It was quite a good experience, of course I love KLPAC more, but still, it was a great 3-day-experience. We had a lot of Alice Smith students, several from Jerudong International School, Brunei, several from my school - Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar and four from The Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.

I played in a Piano Quintet, specifically Piano Quintet No.6, Op. 37, Polonaise by Luigi Boccherini, with two violinists from the MPYO, a violist from Alice Smith and also a pianist from Brunei. Practice sessions went really well and we finish the song on the first day itself, so on the second day, we practically had nothing much to do, so we were just sitting around doing nothing all the time. I had a great time in a jamming session with several other people before our festival group picture too. (:

I’m currently preparing for Battle of the Composers in my school, a, obviously, composing competition. My auditions are on Wednesday and Friday. *fingers-crossed* And on Saturday, our school is celebrating it’s 20th Anniversary Dinner at Legend Hotel, so I’ll be near Wesley! :P

Currently drowning in piles and piles of homework too, but specifically, double maths work.

Oh well, that’s all I have to say today. Tomorrow is a public holiday! :D Enjoy yourselves. (:

Cheers,
Seow Wei
